      Screw Feeder Screw Conveyor
The screw feeder is designed to handle bulk material. Screw Conveyor also is designed to handle bulk material
A screw feeder is designed to feed a metered quantity of bulk material. The screw conveyor is designed to move the feed from one place to other.
Generally, it is installed at the beginning of any process operation. It is installed in between two processes where the transport or movement of bulk material is required.
The inlet of the screw feeder is flooded i.e., 100 % \, loaded. Its inlet is not loaded 100 % \,.
Its inlet is connected to an intermittent storage vessel like a hopper, silo…etc. Its feed is controlled on its own. Its inlet is connected to a feed control unit like Rotary airlock valves, and bucket conveyors. Etc. It means, its feed is controlled by some other piece of equipment.
Mixing of two different products and heating, and cooling of the product is not allowed since the metered quantity can be varied. Mixing of two different products is allowed along with heating or cooling in the path of travel.
Cannot move the product vertically upwards due to material falling back from the clearance between screw flight and the casing. It can move the product vertically upwards.
